Head of the stone statue depicting the bodhisattva Guanyin. Her full oval face with a relatively pronounced nose smoothly connected to the tall arched eyebrows. Long eyes are narrowed; short full mouth is heart-shaped. Long ears have noticeably elongated earlobes, the hair is pulled up in a spiral-like chignon.
The full face, depiction of the nose, eyes, eyebrows, and the mouth dates this exemplar to the Tang dynasty (618-907).
