AN ARCHAIC RITUAL BRONZE VESSEL, DING

The vessel of deep rounded body is cast with delicate jiaolongwen pattern on a leiwen ground. Supported by three tapering legs with taotie masks. A pair of uprising handles applied to the sides, the cover is decorated with similar patterns and mounted with three circular rings. The bronze with an attractive olive patina and areas of light brown encrustation.
