Ink and colours on paper. Hanging scroll, brocade mounting. Wu Changshuo was one of the prominent figures of early 20th century Chinese art. Painter, seal carver and calligrapher, active in Shanghai. Inscription: Release the crane in the mountains. Signed: Anji Wu Changshuo bingji. Negative seal: Fou weng, positive seal: Cang shi. Provenance: Collection of Czech sinologist Daniela Šejnohová (1929 - 2011).
