Oil on wood panel, 40 x 27 cm, monogram and date lower left: 1736, full signature lower right. Hirschelly is considered to be one of the most significant Czech artists of cabinet paintings. Following the example of his teacher, J. V. Angermeyer, he specialised in painting still lifes, particularly floral. His paintings can be found in the monastery art museum in Vyšší Brod, in the National Gallery in Prague, in the Regional Gallery in Liberec, and in important private collections.
