OTTO GUTFREUND (1899 – 1927)

Marble from Kosořany, H 45 cm, with plinth 56 cm, unsigned, marked with a label on the plinth. Studies for this work can be found in the National Gallery in Prague. A unique, heretofore unknown work by one of the most prominent Czech sculptors. One of his late works and a unique example of the sculptural style which Gutfreund entered into late in his life.
