Oil on canvas.
This painting depicts a beautifully elaborate still life with leaves and various types of fruits, such as grapes, pomegranates, plums, and pears. The right side of the image is occupied by the figure of a monkey enjoying the fruit. Based on the use of colour and composition, it can be suggested that the work was painted by Giovanni Battista Crescenzi, an early Baroque Italian painter and architect, and a member of the prominent family. He worked in Rome and in Spain and was a brother of Cardinal Pier Paolo Crescenzi.
